Dr. Ira W. Cotton is an information technology consultant by profession and a philatelist and conservationist by avocation. A 30+ year member of the American Philatelic Society, he has focused his colleting in recent years on fish & game stamps and licenses. He has served three terms as the President of the National Duck Stamp Collectors Society (please visit www.NDSCS.org to join) and is a member of the State Revenue Society and the American Revenue Association. He writes articles on fish & game subjects for the philatelic press and has several handbook ideas in mind after these.
He lives with his wife and daughters in Naples, FL where he enjoys hunting and fishing, even when he comes home empty-handed. He is a member of Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever. He maintains that you don't have to hunt or fish to enjoy hunting and fishing stamps, but you enjoy them even more if you do.
