Professional/Personal Background
Cliff has been a fish and wildlife biologist working within California’s Central Valley for the last 30 years. He is an award-winning nationally recognized waterfowl scientist. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his 4 children.
Stamp/Duck Stamp Collecting Background
As a kid, Cliff’s mother had a wildlife art gallery which introduced him to Federal duck stamps and the associated artwork. In 1999, Cliff worked for CA Department of Fish and Game and managed the state duck stamp account. He has been a judge for a number of state duck and upland game bird stamp contests, the state Junior Duck Stamp contest, and in 2023 for the national Junior Duck Stamp contest. He collects Federal and California duck stamps, and rare duck stamp prints (e.g., conservation, governor, and remarque editions).
